Margaret "Gigi" Roe, MA, LPC

A Brief History

I graduated from Stockton State College in NJ with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I attended graduate school at Kean University where I received my Master's degree in Counselor Education and finished my post master's licensure requirements there as well. I am a New Jersey Licensed Professional Counselor (#37PC00314900).

I have worked as a counselor with a variety of people in different treatment settings. I first began working in Brooklyn, NY with adolescents who were aging out of a foster care agency. I then started my work with those with severe and persistent mental illness. I assisted them in the community, helping them to be successful living independently and then managed a group home within the same agency. Switching gears somewhat after a few years, I worked for a not-for-profit partial care program. There I ran groups and saw clients individually.  I have also taught "Abnormal Psychology" at Montclair University as an adjunct professor.  Aside from my family, my current focus is private practice work and helping everyday people lead more satisfying, positive lives.
